How does this stuff happen?

We're now Tru-Green customers. You know, the guys that come out once every six weeks and treat your yard to make it all nice and pretty. Ordinarily we wouldn't have signed right up, but the poor man who came to our door more than deserved whatever commission it is he gets out of us. That poor man walked into a mad-house. The kids were all being high-energy, the pets were being high-energy, it was ALL on. He gave his little speech as best he could given all the noise around him, and we proceeded to the backyard where he wanted to give us a quote. Maddie got on the trampoline and was bouncing away happily, and then came the scream. I raced over to check her out, and there was blood ... lots and lots of blood coming from her little mouth. SOMEHOW (and I still don't know how the heck how), she had caught her TOOTH on the safety net. Someone please tell me how this stuff happens??!!?? It pulled her little front tooth way forward, and then caused it to overlap her other little front tooth. Luckily it didn't bleed for too long ... Unluckily, it was 5.45pm on a freakin Friday night. Do you think there is ONE dentist open around here at that hour on a Friday? Not a single one! We called the nice folks at 1800-Dentist, and the closest one that was still open is an hours drive away, and closes at 7pm. No way would we have made it on time. Through-out all of this the nice Tru-Green man is earning his money by entertaining the other four kids.

Her tooth gets to stay. The Dentist said it'll come out all by itself, and probably expedite the process of her other teeth coming loose and her adult teeth coming in. Its not bothering Maddie at all ...in fact shes looking forward to having a smile like her brothers.
