Homestudy complete!

Yesterday Becky arrived at 10.30am to do our homestudy. She is just so sweet! I know you're going to love her. She'll also be doing our post-placement visits, so we'll be seeing quite a bit of her. She had lots of questions about Daddy and I, as well as your sisters. She also wanted to know all about our hopes and dreams for you, and how we thought you would fit into our family. She gave us some really good information on some seminars that are coming up, all about adopting internationally, and being a trans-racial family. We're definitely going to go. Anything that we can do to make this transition as smooth as possible for you can only be a good thing. Becky was here most of the day ... Your sisters all adored her. Molly kept hugging her, and also wanted to show her how fast she could ride her bike. As soon as Becky came thru the front door, Maddie had to take her upstairs to see the bedroom and your bed. Cassie drew her a lovely picture, and we got to see the front and back of Georgias binder for school, which has a full page printout of your photo in both the front and the back. I think it was pretty easy to tell that they're all very excited for you to arrive.

Becky is sure that she'll have the homestudy completely written by the end of next week. As soon as we have that, we can start the process for your immigration. Becky told us if we drive to Yakima and file in person, get our fingerprints done at the same time, etc, it can shave as much as 6wks off the waiting time! 6 whole weeks!!! So yup, we'll be doing some driving the week after next...haha.

It feels like we're just getting so close now, and Dad and I are so happy about that. I hope when you are old enough to read and understand all of this, that you can see how fast we are trying to make this happen .... We want you home, little man.
